I tried out that "squared paper" method thingy where you first draw lines [vertically and horizontally] across the reference AND your blank paper, and then start drawing one square at the time, finishing the artwork square by square. How...square! And apparently it makes it much easier to make the artwork more accurate. At least I think so, because now at least the face didn't turn out completely twisted as it usually does when I try to draw with references like this.
Anyways...made a sketch first with mechanical pencil and then finished it with mah pretteh blue ballpoint pen that dad gave me. I thought "...what the hell, might as well use all the ink now that I've started."
I just love Jack Frost and his mischievous personality, hurrrrrrrrfufufufuf, and those awesome snowballs he makes. This was so much fun to draw, and for once the hair turned out decent. Realistic/Semi-realistic hair has always been my Achilles heel.
Looking back at this, I just realized how gosh darn PERFECT his hair is. I mean.... !!! I love it!! I don't think I've ever loved such fanart so much in my life!

What the! *stares in disbelief* You made this with a ballpen? This is awesome! He looks so like the movie and good shading by the way. You did a great job!
Yes, indeed I made this with a ballpoint pen! Or several ballpoint pens, cause the ink ran out. Thank you so very much, you just made my day with this comment.
